True Friends is a non profit organizatioon providing services for children and adults with developmental, physical and learning disabilities. We are accredited by the American Camp Association.
Transitions programs teach young adults with autism, ADHD, nonverbal learning disabilities and other learning differences skills such as executive functioning, leadership, self-advocacy, wellness, social relationship building and independent living. Students also experience socially rich recreational opportunities, memorable Adirondack outings, college tours and entertainment opportunities in a safe, supportive environment.
We use the Frequency, Intensity, Duration Model. Our campers make phenomenal gains in motor skills, language, social skills, academics and sensory processing. We require the presence of at least one parent for each camper, the camp becomes a parent training, networking and support system. Parents are trained in therapy techniques that can be used at home to continue advancement of their child.
A 6 weeks summer day camp for children (4-20) with Special Needs. We are modeled after a traditional town day camp with Specials, trips off site, and swimming.
Tech Kids Unlimited is a nonprofit organization that teaches computer science thinking and technology to students ages 7-21 who learn differently. SpringHill Camps - Summer Camp for everyone
Our enrichment program will focus on targeting a variety of speech, language, feeding, and play skills through evidence-based, interactive group learning. Upon pick up, you will receive a daily progress note and a short debriefing on how your child enjoyed their day and what strengths were observed. Strategies to work on at home with your child will also be shared by our team.
