Financial Assistance Available

We work with a scholarship foundation called CampLauncher (camplauncher.org). There are other recommendations we have for financial assistance, and would be happy to discuss them with you.

Beyond Akeela is hosted by Franklin Pierce University and we eat most of our meals on campus. The campus chefs emphasize local and healthy food options, and are very accommodating of different types of eaters. Beyond Akeela teens also have the opportunity to cook meals for themselves, and as a result will have more control over the menu.

Beyond Akeela blends the community feel of a traditional summer camp with post-secondary skill building of a college preparation program, and adds a FUN travel component to create a unique summer transition program. Participants are part of a tight-knit community, in which they practice post-secondary life skills, experience adventure, and thrive socially. A wide variety of activities fill each day with fun and social connection, while also building self-advocacy and executive function skills.

Beyond Akeela teens engage in meaningful and choice based community service projects, visit the must-see attractions of Southern New Hampshire, Portland, ME, and Boston, and bond around the campfire on an overnight camping trip. Beyond Akeela was designed from its inception with an intentional and explicit focus on fostering lifelong camp friendships while molding independent, successful young adults. The amazing staff we work with focuses their efforts on building social skills, self-advocacy, and self-confidence in Beyond Akeela campers that will be critical as they enter college, the work force - and beyond!
