Altitude provides year-round camping experiences for boys and girls with social cognitive challenges including: verbal and nonverbal learning disabilities, ADHD, Asperger’s, and high functioning autism. We build social skills, independence, and self-confidence to prepare our participants for the transition to young adulthood, future relationships, and the rest of their lives.

Campers eat family-style with staff at each table and have opportunities to practice bringing food to tables, asking peers to pass food and drink, and learning table; all important independence and life-skills.

Via West Campus is a peanut and tree-nut free campus. We can accommodate all dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian diets.

Camp Altitude is a two-week summer camp experience for boys and girls with social cognitive challenges who are entering 6th through 12th grades. Camp Altitude is committed to providing a safe, fun and rewarding summer experience that promotes social learning and independent living skills. We aim to tailor the program to your child's individual needs to address specific social and independent living skills.

Altitude campers need to be able to function comfortably within a ratio of 3 campers to 1 adult staff member. Our highly trained professional staff coupled with energetic college and post-graduate aged counselors will provide an experience that integrates your camper's unique needs.
A team of professional staff is also involved in the day-to-day camp activities and will participate with our cohorts throughout the day.

Altitude was created to fill a gap in services for children with social-cognitive challenges so that they too could experience the fun and adventure of a traditional camp program whilst improving their social and independent living skills.
