FREE Summer Camp! Accepting Children from Central & South Texas!

The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas offers a 5 day and 4 night FREE summer camp for children with epilepsy. At Camp Brainstorm each camper is supervised by world-class neurologists, nurses, and trained counselors who ensure their safety!

Camp Brainstorm, located in serene Rockport, Texas, is a five-day, four-night residential summer camp experience for children with epilepsy, ages 8 to 17. Camp Brainstorm gives campers a life-changing experience they won't soon forget. For 5 days youth with epilepsy come together and enjoy all the fun activities and friendships that come with a trip to camp while leaving behind various challenges epilepsy can bring to their daily lives. They are all surrounded - some for the first time - by dozens of other kids who know exactly what having epilepsy means. There are no worries about what people would think if they had a seizure or if they will be excluded from activities just because they are different. At Camp Brainstorm, epilepsy is the norm.

Requirements for campers:

- Ages 8-17 residing in Central & South Texas.
- Primary diagnosis of epilepsy and well-controlled seizures.
- MUST be on anti-seizure medications and/or regulated, physician-approved alternative therapy.
- MUST BE ABLE TO: care for their own basic needs, follow directions, participate in regular camp activities, and be emotionally & behaviorally ready for an overnight camp experience.
