The CMTA is proud and very excited to announce CAMP FOOTPRINT, a free, five-day sleepaway camp for youth (ages 10-18) with CMT.

Camp Footprint will be held August 22-26, 2016, at Camp Kon-O-Kwee, just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This is going to be an amazing chance for our youth with CMT to connect with others who understand them. We will have a fun week, an adventurous week, and a week that inspires us all to share our stories! We are pulling out all the stops for Camp Footprint to ensure that it is a week your kids will never forget!

CMT was once classified as a muscular dystrophy and the CMTA has a research memorandum of understanding with the MDA, and collaborates with them in clinics, but technically CMT kills the nerves and then the muscles around them atrophy. It does not directly affect the muscles.
