Due to covid, we are offering FREE weekly virtual bible studies (for the time being). We are also hosting 4-hour virtual mini-camps monthly for the small fee of $60 per mini-camp. Our spring camp season dates are February 20th, March 20th, April 17th, and May 15th. This includes a fun box of goodies sent straight to the door of your camper to use during our virtual mini-camp call!

Camp Registration information for Summer 2021:
Dear Future Sharing Meadows’ Camper,

It’s been TOO long! We’re so excited to finally have your camper at Camp Sharing Meadows again! You are invited to attend one (or more!) of our weekly Sharing Meadows Day Camp this July as one of our Campers. Due to COVID-19, we require that all our campers are fully vaccinated. Our summer day camps will run from 9:00 AM CST until 4:00 PM CST. Instead of a traditional Monday through Friday weekly day camp, we are hosting vertical weeks of day camp. This means you can sign up for all of the Mondays in July (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th), Tuesdays in July (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th), Wednesdays in July (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th), Thursdays in July (8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th), and/or Fridays in July (9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th). You can sign up for as many weeks as you’d like! Please contact me if you have any questions about this so I can see if I can work this out for your good.

Please do not delay in sending in your pre-registration (and application) because Camp slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Why? Due to COVID-19 regulations, we are only accepting 10-12 (5-6 girl, 5-6 guy) campers per week of camp. We need ample enough room to social distance especially since we are not requiring masks because all the campers will be vaccinated. The Summer Day Camp fee is $200.00 per week. You should be aware that Share Foundation subsidizes each Camper because the $200 fee does not cover the entire cost of Camp. I will ALWAYS send a confirmation letter to you if you have been accepted to Camp. In that confirmation letter, we will have details about the required check-in and check-out procedure along with time windows for you to drop off and pick up your camper. Be sure to look out for this! Send in the fee now with the appropriate forms, and we will be in contact with you shortly.

Keep in mind that last-minute cancellations will not receive a refund for the Camp registration fee due to costs associated with planning staff, crafts, mailing, etc. Thank you!

For summer day camp 2021, we are asking campers to bring cold lunches with them due to COVID-19 precautions. We hope to provide the food description below when we return to overnight camps!

The menu changes with each Camp, but we try to use fresh fruits and vegetables as much as possible to increase the nutritonal value of the meal served while reducing the amount of salt and sugar consumed. Cooks prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other staff prepares the nightly snack. We are willing and able to make reasonable adjustments to the meal plan based on individual dietary restrictions. Significant advance notice is appreciated.

Camp Sharing Meadows provides recreation, fellowship and learning in a non-judgmental atmosphere in which the values of independence, self-esteem, spiritual growth and socialization are stressed. 25-30 campers and 10-15 staff are invited each camp. They come from the surrounding areas of Northwest IN, Chicago, Michigan, Indianapolis, etc. Traditional camp activities, Value Sessions, skits, talent shows, horse visits, and treasure hunts are some of the activities done at camp. We host week-long summer camps and weekend mini-camps in the spring and the fall. The cost of the Camps are subsidized by the Share Foundation. The Share Foundation is a not for profit organization that serves the residential, vocational, spiritual and social needs of other-abled adults. We strongly believe that using the Gentle Teaching approach to care and companionship is our way of making the world a safer and more loving place to be.
