Camp TBI 2024 will be held at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Georgia from Sunday, July 7 through Friday, July 12. There is no charge for Camp TBI but donations are welcome. Camp TBI is specifically for those children and young adults from Georgia and South Carolina, ages 10-21, who have an acquired traumatic brain injury, including CP. 2nd year Occupational Therapy students from the Medical College of Georgia serve as counselors each year, usually with a 1-1 ratio. Emphasis is placed on activities that introduce and encourage campers on their road to independence.

Three healthy, nutricious meals are provided by the Camp Twin Lakes Staff with input from the Camp Director. Parents are asked to fill out a form with special diet needs for their camper as well as food and environmental allergies. Special meals are prepared by the kitchen staff for those who require it. Mealtimes are all together family style in the large dining hall with specified quiet time for eating and digesting and afterwards for singing camp songs and clean up.

Camp TBI is a week long, spend the night camp, held at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Georgia each July. Applicants must be from the states of Georgia or South Carolina, ages 10-21, and have been diagnosed with an acquired traumatic brain injury or CP.
Campers enjoy a 1-1 relationship with their counselors who are 2nd year Occupational Therapy students from the Medical College of Georgia. Programs and activities at Camp TBI are geared to encourage and support campers as they try new things, practice independent skills and make new friends who have similar challenges.
