For summer 2016 we are offering 3 sessions:



Session One: (10 to 13 year olds). 2 weeks. Thursday June 30th to Wednesday July 13th

Visitors Day and Camper Pick-up: Wednesday July 13th



Session Two: (14 to 18 year olds) + LITs. 3 weeks. Saturday July 16th to Friday August 5th

Visitors Day and Camper Pick-up: Friday August 5th



Session Three: (10 to 18 year olds). 2 weeks. Tuesday August 9th to Monday August 22nd

Visitors Day and Camper Pick-up: Monday August 22nd



How to Apply to Camp Towhee



Parents should call the Camp Coordinator, Megan Tyrell at 416-603-1827 or by email at mtyrell@childdevelop.ca for a camp application package. (Referring persons may request a package for parents who need assistance completing the forms).



In order to establish the presence of a specific learning disability, we require a psychological assessment conducted by a Registered Psychologist. The application package includes a Request for Psychological Information form. Once the parents have signed this, they send it to the Psychologist who will then forward the assessment to Integra.



For any other inquiries with regards to camp, direct them to the Camp Coordinator, Megan Tyrell.

Financial Assistance Available

Limited subsidies are available for qualified families.Please request a subsidy application from our Camp Coordinator, Megan Tyrell at mtyrell@childdevelop.ca or 416-603-1827 ext. 5221.

Camp Towhee Programs and Therapeutic Approach:



Participation in a combination of the following five programs, provide the foundation of Camp Towhee's therapeutic approach:



1) Adventure Based Learning

2) Outtripping and Outdoor Living Skills

3) Waterfront: Instructional and Recreational Swimming

4) Experiential Arts

5) Topic Focused Discussion Groups



Camp Towhee is operated by the Integra Program at Child Development Institute, a year-round Children's Mental Health Centre in Toronto.
