Caregivers

We allow friends and siblings of all abilities to attend our Youth Sessions. We also allow parents to stay on-site during our Youth Sessions.

Caregivers may attend our Youth and Adult Sessions free of charge. Background checks, interviews, and approval are required for a caregiver to attend (Please note: parent/guardian may not attend as a caregiver- this session is designed to help develop independence in a safe, well-structured, and fun environment in a very small ratio.)

*Programming Activities Offered: Sports & Rec, Arts & Crafts, Swimming, Horse Grooming/Feeding, Hiking, Performing Arts, various group evening programs, Camp out, Low Ropes Course, Gold Panning, and Archery.

All staff members receive 10 days of training to best serve our campers, including training in lifting & transferring, personal care, first-aid & CPR, and best practices in working with individuals of all needs.

Tuolumne Trails maintains a minimum staffing ratio of 2:5, along with a trained nurse on-site 27/7 while camp is in session.

Financial Assistance Available

We host a yearly raffle. Campers and their caregivers are welcome to sell raffle tickets to off-set the cost of their registration. 100% of the proceeds go towards their camp registration.

We serve traditional summer camp food with special consideration to any dietary needs including: Low-carb/sugar-free, ketogenic, gluten-free, lactose-free, and food allergies.

Whether roasting marshmallows, fishing, spending the afternoon swimming at the pool, singing along at the camp fire, or exploring camp on wheelchair accessible trails, Tuolumne Trails is a world of fun, new experiences for children, teens, and adults of all needs.

Tuolumne Trails is built on 80 acres of Sierra Nevada wilderness, seven miles east of Groveland, CA, near the grandeur of Yosemite National Park.
