CampCare's mission is to provide mentally and physically challenged youth with recreational and educational opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. CampCare celebrates individual differences and focus on the needs of each camper while encouraging independence and happy memories.

We have structured activities around a different theme each session. Campers put together a talent/musical production as a gift to their families before going home. Staffing includes the director, three nurses, lifeguards, program leaders and counselors.(1 per 3 campers). All staff are CPR and 1st Aide certified. The camp is located at Zephyr Point conference Center on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The camp uses a lodge with rooms set up with single, double and queen size beds plus a bathroom in each room. There are a variety of special needs at CampCare. All Campers must have basic self-help skills, be toilet trained, and have positive social behavior.
