Camp Barney Medintz is a proud partner of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta's Jewish Overnight Camp Initiative. The initiative is dedicated to sending more children from Atlanta to Jewish overnight camp, and has financial resources available to help make camp affordable. Three meals each day are served family-style from our Kosher kitchen, and a host of options are available for each child - whether they have serious food allergies or dietary concerns or are just a plain picky eater! Our food service director actively creates menus with our chefs to handle virtually every food allergy and dietary restriction. Each meal served will have vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and tree and peanut-free options, among several others. We also offer a fully-stocked salad bar at every meal to give kids more healthy choices.

Our Chalutzim program is offered for campers 10-22 years old with special needs and has been nationally recognized since it was established in 1992. This program is highly individualized and an extraordinary experience for each camper. Campers can attend a four week program and are supervised by experienced, specially trained staff who understand the Camp setting and also infuse large doses of conscientious mentoring, warmth, humor, and hugs. This program offers all of the exciting CBM activities and opportunities while facilitating individual and group skill development. Campers in our Chalutzim program come to us with a wide range of abilities, and we work closely with each child on meeting individual goals for their time at Camp.
