Foundation for Dreams provides not only summer camp programs, but consistent, ongoing weekend programs throughout the year. By offering both residential and day camp during summer months (June-August), Dream Oaks Camp is an option for everyone. Our residential weekend program (September-May) gives parents frequent planned respite and gives children the opportunity for continuous growth.

Weekend Camp:This program runs during the school year from 6:00 p.m. on Friday to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Campers sleep overnight and all meals are provided.

Summer Day Camp: This program begins at 8:00 a.m. on Monday and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday-Friday. Campers are picked up at 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Campers are provided with lunch daily.

Summer Residential Camp: This is an overnight Monday-Friday program, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and ending at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

Financial Assistance Available

Financial assistance is available on a sliding scale basis. Additional scholarships are based on needs and individual circumstances.

Foundation for Dreams provides a variety of unique programs specialized to highlight a child's strengths, not their limitations. Here, we believe that differences are beautiful and that children should be recognized as individuals, not by their disabilities. By focusing on what a child can do rather than what they cannot, we enable children to discover their incredible potential through empowering camp adventures and experiences.

Our program, Dream Oaks Camp, fosters an environment of support and inclusion, where a child can imagine, dream and achieve. By modifying strategies to include participation of all campers, children engage in our unique camp activities, learn new skills and develop productive behaviors while having a blast! Activities include: swimming, canoeing, pontoon boating, horseback riding, arts & crafts, sports & games, music, yoga, dance, drama/skits, nature class, scavenger hunts, science, cooking, and more!

When a child attends our program Dream Oaks Camp, staff and parents collaborate to identify 2 targeted goals for the child to progress towards while at camp. These fall within 4 domains: social interaction, activities of daily living, behavioral skills and health/hygiene. By focusing on each child's strengths and abilities, staff members facilitate these goals throughout the camp session and encourage campers towards success. By providing intensive staff training and low camper-to-staff ratios of 3:1 or better, each child receives individualized care and support.

Not only does Foundation for Dreams provide support for children, but strengthens the overall family unit by acting as a resource and respite for parents and caregivers. Parents/caregivers receive a period of extended, overnight respite to spend time with loved ones, relax and recharge to improve overall family health and well being.
