B Social Skills Therapeutic Program (ages 4-10)

In our 14th year, Fitness for Health professionals, in collaboration with the Center for Communication and Learning speech language pathologists, will provide an integrated movement and social thinking® program. Our summer program will integrate social cognitive thinking with motor activities.

Concepts will be introduced in a fun and motivating way encouraging participants to explore and improve their social thinking skills and motor development. Program co-founder Susan M. Abrams M.A. CCC-SLP was featured in The ASHA Leader, published by the American Speech Hearing Language Association.

B Social – Team Building for Adolescents with Social Challenges (ages 11 – 16)

Collaborating for our 14th year, Fitness for Health and the Center for Communication and Learning is offering a summer therapeutic program for students with ADD/ADHD, Social Communication Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our B Social Team Building Program focuses on developing your adolescent’s social competency. Social thinking® is more than just about being social. The skills and strategies we teach will impact their performance at school, in the community, and throughout their lives

B Social Therapeutic Programs

In our 14th year, Fitness for Health pediatric fitness specialists in collaboration with the Center for Communication and Learning speech and language therapists will provide an integrated movement and social cognitive thinking program for your children. This program will integrate Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking® concepts with motor activities. These will be introduced in a fun and motivating way encouraging participants to explore and improve their social cognition and motor development.

The focus will be on developing your child’s social competency. Social competency is not only about forming friendships. It’s a skill required to be successful when working as part of a group in school, in the community, and down the road in a profession.

Both B Social programs will be coordinated by Fitness for Health staff in partnership with Sue Abrams, M.A. CCC-SLP to offer a dynamic program focusing on social learning. Ms. Abrams has over 30 years of experience evaluating and treating children with speech and language disorders. Ms. Abrams has completed the Social Thinking® Clinical Training Program with Michelle Garcia Winner and has presented at the Social Thinking Providers Conference in California. Social thinking is based on the work of Michelle Garcia Winner M.A. CCC/SLP.
