Horizons offers four 2-week sessions during the summer. For the summer of 2017 June 18-July 1, July 2-15, July 23-Aug 5, Aug 6-19. Also offered are 16 theme-based weekends between the months of September and May. For returning campers there is a week long vacation stay from Dec. 27 - Jan 1.

Three meals per day are served family style in the Commons Dining Hall. Vegetarian, lactose free and low sugar options are available. Other special diets can be accommodated, sometimes with supplemental foods provided by the families.

Campers and staff live together in a cabin, attend seven daily programs and an evening activity. A ratio of one counselor to every five campers is provided. Medications are distributed by trained staff led by a registered nurse. Horizons has been providing residential camping for over 30 years in Connecticut and operates with a team of experienced professionals.
