Alison Ratner Mayer, LICSW will be offering social skills group therapy camps and afternoon weekly social skills groups throughout the summer. Topics covered will include making and keeping friends, conversation skills, joining in with peers, communication skills, nonverbal communication skills, appropriate use of humor, managing impulsivity, frustration management, connecting with peers, and sportsmanship.

Alison's social skills groups and social skills camps will be a place for kids to have fun with same aged peers, learn and practice social skills, receive feedback in a safe and supportive environment from trained clinicians and peers, and to gain confidence and experience with making and keeping friends. We will use games, activities, projects, arts and crafts, improvisational drama, team work challenges, and free play. Parents will receive support and feedback from Alison throughout the camps or groups. Please contact Alison for additional information.
