Stepping Stones works creatively to fill gaps and meet unmet needs for programs serving children, teens and adults with disabilities. This has been the hallmark of the agency since its inception as Greater Cincinnati’s first summer camp for children with disabilities in 1963.

Since then, Stepping Stones has continued helping people with disabilities find pathways to independence that improve their lives and enable them to be more fully participating members of their communities. Individuals of all ages and their families come to Stepping Stones year-round for fun, friends, learning new skills, enjoying the outdoors, sports, respite and to find a caring community.

Stepping Stones' Overnight Staycation program invites teens and adults with disabilities an adventurous five-day summer retreat at a 47-acre property in Batavia, Ohio.

The program includes a commercial kitchen, professionally trained and certified to accommodate special dietary needs during participants' stay with us.

Stepping Stones was founded in 1963 as Greater Cincinnati's first summer camp program for children with special needs. Today, the nonprofit agency has grown to have four program locations and offer a variety of recreational programs throughout the year.

Our summer nine-week summer camp season offers fun, outdoor adventure in a safe, engaging atmosphere. Summer Day Camp welcomes campers age 5 - 18 weekdays at the wooded 23-acre Given Campus in Indian Hill. Summer Overnight Staycations welcome individuals age 16 - 64 for an overnight five-day stay at our scenic 47-acre Allyn Campus in Batavia, Ohio.

Summer programs feature a variety of skill-building activities such as creative arts, music, drama and team sports as well as summer favorites such as swimming, boating and fishing.
