Learning to make and keep friends is crucial in every child's life. Summer Socials at Advances Learning Center provides direct instruction in functional social skills and an opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment which facilitate your child's development of skills needed for strong and lasting friendships.
Each Social meets for a weekly 2-hour session, consisting of 3 to 5 children, for 7-weeks from July 8 to August 23. You may register your child for multiple age appropriate Socials. Session times and age groups have been determined so that you can plan accordingly; even making it possible for Socials to complement day summer camps.
Students are placed in Summer Socials based on their age and language use with peers. Staff members facilitate peer interaction through language use and play skills. Age-appropriate activities are set up to provide opportunities for social interaction. Curriculum and methods are informed by research and Socials are supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
