Each student has a theatre artist mentor during the program to personally assist, support or encourage the student. Child's guardian is welcome to be present (not part of the program)

DramaRamas rehearsals are weekend mornings mid June through early July. The DramaRamas will meet for a series of 90 minute rehearsals on weekend mornings during this time period to learn the music, rehearse scenes and learn choreography. (Visit website for dates) They will then perform the musical for friends, family and the community. The DramaRamas Show is a part of our season. Program is free. (Only registration fee). The Summer Theatre of New Canaan’s award-winning* DramaRamas program provides performance opportunities for children, ages 8-18, with special needs. Each summer, the DramaRamas rehearse and perform with professional actors an abridged version of one of STONC's summer shows. Each child will be paired up and mentored by one of our professional actors and theater staff to help them interpret and perform their role. Rehearsals are weekend mornings with a performance on the last day of rehearsals in early July, at the Summer Theatre’s Tent Theatre in New Canaan.
